Beech Tree Cathedral

... the beech leaves are just starting to change colour in the tree tunnel that leads into our village. Extra shows the end of the tunnel and the multi-coloured vineyards beyond. Then the rain started and hasn’t stopped today so we have been making chutney from the green tomatoes, soup from the red ones, preparing the chestnuts for eating and freezing. I feel like the domestic goddess that I am definitely not, and now the house smells lovely too.
