Belated Valentine

I woke up with a self-inflicted headache and sore feet. The remnants of a fantastic night - after attending a Valentine's Ball with friends. The room was beautifully dressed, and as it was a formal occasion, the guests were too! Our friends were great company and we danced (boogied - that shows my age) the night away. One of the best things about it was getting 'properly' dressed up, as a night out locally is usually spent in casual clothes - no-one seems to get really dressed up anymore. Such a shame!

One chair on each table had a sticker on and that person got to take home the floral arrangement at the end of the evening. I wasn't the chosen one on ours, but the next table had all gone home without taking theirs ....

It was the first year we decided not to buy each other a Valentines card, but instead we made time for each other. Lunch out on Thursday, which we both really enjoyed, then the ball last night which was brilliant. I actually danced with my husband!!! It must be at least 10 years since the last time.

I'm not going to send him a card next year, either!!!!!
