Fishing
It was teachers only day at Sophie's school so we were on child minding duty today as Sophie's mum is a teacher and had to go to school but Sophie had the day off.
We walked some of the way around Lake Ngaroto where we came across this man fishing for Rudd. I didn't even know we have Rudd in NZ. They are a native of Europe and were illegally introduced into New Zealand in 1967.
We watched him catch lots of fish which he uses as bait for sea fishing for snapper and groper.
It was a beautiful day with the temperature reaching mid 20's.
We have a long weekend this weekend. Its traditional the weekend we plant our summer vegetable garden so today we bought lots of vegetable and flower plants and will have a busy weekend planting them. .
