Beautiful Raasay

My family tolerate my love of boats and islands and it was permitted that we get the ferry to Raasay today. Sadly I didn’t get the fully ferry experience due to the virus as we had to stay in our car but the crossing was fast and smooth.
We drove up to the north and the girls and Floss climbed down to Brochel Castle, then we drove over Calum’s Road to Arnish. Amazingly this road was built by am man- Calum- during the 60’s and 70’s single handedly. It’s the windiest, most undulating road ever and we took our hats off to him. We had the most remote picnic sitting on the brow of the hill looking out over to Skye and the outer Hebrides could be seen in the distance. Amazing!
We also popped into the distillery to buy gin, and visited the Larch box for an ice cream.
Slight overestimate in pizza requirements to finish off our last full day here.
