Today is abstract Thursday so thought I would give it a go, mainly because the metallic sculpture at the end of Southport Pier offered a great filter a d produced this distored selfie!

Obviously, we took a trip to Southport today, despite the weather being pants initially, the forecast said that,between 12-3 it would be bright and sunshiny.....and by god they were right :-)

The drive there was wet and horrible, but as we parked up blue sky appeared, enabling us to sit outside by the Pier with a coffee and a bacon barm :-)

We walked up the Pier, aided by a blustery wind, which is when I took todays blip, once I'd checked the theme....pretty fortunate ;-) uncropped image in extras.

We walked back up the pier around the lake, cut through to Lord Street, up and down, then back along the lake, another coffee, then back to the car.......3 hours, 12k steps :-)

The rain came back during our drive home, so we co sidered ourselves pretty lucky! Bwck home just after 4, chilled for an hour before getting ourselves ready for our evening out!

We had a table bookec at our local french bistro for 6.30. We walked down into town.
We had a lovely bottle of house red, starters, mains and shared a dessert, a coffee & brandy, before walking home again, got back just after 9pm :-).Messenger told us that both sons had called us at home....."guessing youre out then?!" & "are you on a date night ?!" Caught up with them both now ;-) The days total steps are 15.5k so not bad at all :-)

Just about to watch Brave New World...which we are quite enjoying. The actress who plays. Charlotte Wells in Harlots stars in it.

Good news from Rishi today re. ack dated support for T2 businesses it seems.
