Brush Rabbit

We found this little guy nibbling under the brush along the trail. A beautiful day with a walk along the coast. This rabbit was aware of us, but unconcerned. His major threats are four-legged (Coyote), and from above (hawks, birds of prey). The green plants that look like carrot tops are actually Hemlock. Yes, the poison kind! Apparently, the rabbits either leave it alone, or are immune to the poison. Not so with humans. If you ate some of this, it would be too late to dial 911. Of course, you would and hopefully get to emergency services in time. Nature is wild!
