Ramping it up...
Another Zoom meeting tonight and the subject is Daimler buses. My submission is this shot of an Ex Birmingham Corporation Transport Daimler CVG6 with MCW body on the ramp at Port Appin.
Also in the scene is a Leyland Comet petrol tanker in Fina colours - check the extra for a colour shot.
The breakdown truck is an Ex WD Canadian Military Pattern Ford or GMC/Chevrolet. Despite the two companies being head butting rivals they collaborated durning wartime. Between 1940 and 1945 over 500,000 were built and they were once a common sight in the UK, alas no longer. I still see them tucked away in yards and fields around Australia - see extras 2/3.
The three vans are L-R, Ford E83W, A35 and Ford Anglia.
