alligator in the Everglades

Continuing our adventure in southern Florida, my friend and I drove through the Everglades. We had heard stories about the abundance of alligators here but didn't really expect to see one. But sure enough, when we pulled over at a picnic spot to stretch our legs, there was this big guy just resting by the side of the water!
How fun is that???
