Autumn: colours of
hot flames and dying embers
in our small back yard.

The American term "back yard" describes our patch far more accurately than the English "back garden". But there's no shortage of colour and variety, or feathered visitors. A wet day, but a good run into Somerset on Stage 1 of our journey visiting family.
