Red, White and Green

Dear Diary,

Yes, there is still some green about like the lilac leaves behind the burning bush leaves but they too will soon succumb to the season.  A bit of a dreary start to the day and I guess it won't improve much as it goes along.  A day for indoor chores and reading.  My days have a very predicable quality to them and I see no end in sight as the virus enters its second wave.
