Peony

One of my peony blooms, I love their unruliness and this peachy colour.  This one and others were picked last week just a buds, but have blossomed out into flowers with the warmth of indoors.
A quiet day, Doug went off to golf croquet, I did some editing of the horses for a while, had a long and lovely messenger chat to a North Island friend, then reading my book - Daring to Drive, author Manal Al-Sharif (A young Saudi woman who stood up to a kingdom of men).  I'm really enjoying it.
