The heron who fishes the Slitrig Water beside Heart of Hawick is very obliging when it comes to having his picture taken.  He wasn't having much luck, though we did see one young salmon leaping up the falls. There was a lovely plump dipper too, but if flew off before I could get a shot in.

We picked up the Click and Collect, so we now have some iron rations to see us through our few days up north.

Must remember to pack hot water bottles ...
