First Light

My Dear Princess and Dear Fellows,

My favourite time of day is dawn. Not because I leap out of bed feeling energised and awake - because I don't. 

And not because I'm eager to embrace the challenges of the day, because I'm so not. 

But because I love that moment when I open the back door for the lads and they go scooting around the back garden, sniffing everything, eating grass and romping about with their tails in the air. 

Their enthusiasm is infectious. Maybe I AM keen to start the day, after all.
