for Evening Sunshine

We had a nice period of sunshine this afternoon.  Time for the last cut of the grass around my beehives.

As the sun was beginning to go down the sunlight was just catching this one hive.  The end of summer and the onset of autumn seemed to be symbolised.

The bees were flying freely but were having to queue up a bit in order to get through the metal mouse guard that can just be seen.

All the hives have been fed for the winter and lashed down in anticipation of the odd Irish Sea gale...
