Avoiding extinction

I was upset at how badly damaged our XR group's banner got at our last event by the metal wires pushed through the cloth to hold it up so I volunteered to mend the rips, sew in tape to strengthen the edges and put in a better system for hanging it up. Completed today, with a few days in hand until its next outing.

Since my sewing machine is broken, I borrowed one. Turns out it's a more recent version of mine and its smooth running made me realise how very much mine needs a service as well as a repair. It's six weeks' down the repairer's queue at the moment.
