TINO

I've had a lazy day today as I felt rather tired an unwell. (tummy troubles again )  Spent a lot of time in bed or on the sofa watching TV.  No chores have been done - but there was nothing urgent so its OK.  Tino kept me company of the sofa so I took a  few photos and made a collage.

Becky and Mike have had a much more active day.  It began at 8am when they took part in an organised event in Hertfordshire  The challenge was to run 5k on the hour every hour for 12 hours. Sounds tough doesn't it.  I'm pleased to report they both completed the challenge and did well.  Well done to both of them.

CORONA CLASSIC - Chevalier de Saint-Georges- Concerto for Violin,Op. 7: no 1 in A major

Another to commemorate Black History Month. Chevalier de Saint-Georges (1745 - 1799 ) was a champion fencer, classical composer, virtuoso violinist, and conductor of the leading symphony orchestra in Paris. Born in the French colony of Guadalupe he was the son of a wealthy married planter and his wife's African slave. His father took him to France when he was young and he was educated there.  Georges was the first known classical composer who was of African ancestry. He composed numerous string quartets and other instrumental musicals well as opera.
