Well, who'd have thought that Cavallo nero could be 'cut-and-come-again'? (Well, ah ken noo!) Actually it was DH who tried this technique of nipping the main stem - the re-growth is paler in colour but looks perfectly edible. Speaking of DH, he'd been threatening to start blipping again, but having heard that before I thought I'd wait for actual evidence. Stone me!

Earlier, the said Mr H went up to the health centre and blagged himself a flu jag, ahead of his departure to the unknown and possibly virus-rich environment of Hull. Not strictly the correct venue given his GP practice, but the NHS nurses are supreme pragmatists (and super efficient).
