Girls are in winter lockdown

Sorted out the girls (bees) for the winter we managed to get the Varroa Destructors right down. So I know hand on heart they are going into winter in good form.
The strap is for incase we have high winds incase it topples the hive. Or maybe a branch could fall.
Anyway they are clean
They have food.
They have a new loft with the food in and then packed with brown paper.
I am hoping that will keep some of the warm in with them.
They have an open bottom (mesh floor) to keep fresh air so they don’t go damp inside.
Fingers crossed for them all.
They are still out shopping for pollen. And I think the ivy is going to seed.
So they must be shopping somewhere.
