Cake and meatballs
Today was all about trying some Swedish cuisine.
We started off at Sweden’s oldest patisserie to take a fika which is basically tea and cake and did not disappoint, I had a blueberry and vanilla pastry followed by a white mouse and raspberry cake with a biscuit base! Both lovely!
We then decided to walk off the cake around some of the shops and the NK department store which is a bit like Harrods. We then walked into the old town where I got today’s shot of these gorgeous buildings. This is called the Grand Square I can imagine when covid isn’t around the tourists flock here, today was nice an quiet so we stopped in a lovely bar for quick drink.
Tonight we have been to Meatballs for the people which I saw on the TV show Travel Man 48 hours in Stockholm. The meatballs were delicious and came with mash potato, lingonberry, pickled cucumber and a type of meatball gravy! I also tried some lingonberry juice which was really nice and very similar to cranberry juice.
