Gothic Tudor
We walked the dogs along the River Trent from Holme (pictured) to Winthorpe and back. The church is 13th century, rebuilt in Tudor times. All the nearby building names included Gothic for some reason eg Gothic House Farm - no idea why. Lots of interesting church features in extras.
Our local pub is struggling - no surprise with the lockdown, so I enjoyed a pre-lunch pint of gorgeous Batemans XB in part to support it, plus my mother-in law was cooking a beef roast lunch - a lovely treat.
My Covid-19 test result returned negative today (48 hour turnaround), so had no qualms about popping down to my local.
