Redshanks

After the mix up with the tide times yesterday, we popped over there again today, in good time to see the approaching tide. However, we should have stayed at home I think. There were so many people out walking their dogs that any birds that managed to land on the waters edge were soon frightened off by dogs chasing balls and sticks. 
There were a few small flocks of oystercatchers and a flock of redshanks that were whirling around, but none of the smaller waders at all today which was a shame. 

I did some baking this morning before we went out - shortbread and scones - to take with us tomorrow to Lucker. Looking forward to a week of birdwatching on the shore and relaxation.
