Hope
I remember excitedly filling out my ballot four years ago for whom I was sure would be the first woman president. I thought there was no way Americans would choose trump. Little did I know how awful these 4 years under him would be.
Today, filling out the ballot was not exciting, but terrifying, as this time around our lives, our futures and the futures of my children depend on this election.
Today, I voted for Black lives, immigrants' lives, women's autonomy over their own bodies, the environment, science, public health, LGBTQIA rights, democracy, my future, the futures of my loved ones. I hope enough Americans feel the way I do. Vote like your life depends on it.
