Indian Land Snail

Got this beautiful snail crawling when I went out for an early morning walk. This is a Land Snail, one of the species of snails that live on land, as opposed to Sea Snails and Freshwater Snails. Land Snail is the common name for terrestrial gastropod mollusks that have shells. In this part of the land, Chota Nagpur Plateau, it is one of the most common foods in the tribal and non tribal communities of Jharkhand, Orissa, and West Bengal and they call it Ghongi.
