Power lines on old railway lines

As I looked out of the window first thing, the Ochils and the Fife coast were bathed in autumn sunlight shining like a mirage across the Firth of Forth. That sunshine teased us, locked down here in Lothian, all day. If we had driven over the Queensferry Crossing we would have broken the central Scotland lockdown but we would be spoilt for choice of sun dappled autumnal foliage to blip!

Being responsible citizens we walked from the house instead under the pesky Lothian cloud. There are interesting walks in all directions and today we followed the former railway to Oldcraighall. We came back through the grounds of Newhailes. On the old raised beach in front of the house we had further fine views of the sunshine on Kirkcaldy and the Lomond Hills. We plodded home along the foreshore where the waves at high tide sprayed us assisted by the stiff easterly breeze. A breeze, however, insufficiently stiff to budge the grey chilly cloud.
