Pontneddfechan Waterfall

We met some friends this morning for a walk to Pontneddfechan waterfall. The Autumn  colours were really beautiful and we enjoyed walking along the river to the waterfall.
We had planned to have coffee in the cafe at the end of the walk where we knew they did gorgeous Coaltown coffee, a brand local to Wales. Coffee turned into lunch, which was equally fantastic. It was mild enough to sit outside with the dogs and the service was very Covid-friendly.
It was so nice to be out doing something normal with friends, especially as it is looking  like Wales is heading for an even stricter lockdown pretty soon. Got to make the most of getting out and about while we still can.

Our beautiful Lila is twelve today. We’ve really noticed her slowing up this year and she doesn’t always want to come out for a walk  every day any more. We had to coax her out of her bed this morning, but she seemed to enjoy the walk when we were out. Don’t think she’ll move tomorrow though!
