It is a very good year —

— for fungi.
When we got up this morning there was an instant change of plan. The sun was bright in a clear blue sky and there was not the slightest breeze. The house work will keep but this sort of morning won’t, we just had to go  for a walk. Only local, about four miles, not very photogenic, apart from the two geese which Redilady spotted behind my back, so it’s more blipped fungi in the woods. The day went downhill around eleven, it’s been cloudy and cool ever since, but no rain (yet).
