Last glimpse

It's a long while since I last stood here and took a photo as the sun was disappearing into the clouds.  The prom has been thronged with visitors throughout the summer, but now as the days are cooling and shortening, it is quieter on a weekday evening.  It had been overcast for much of the day, and then the clouds peeled back in the afternoon with the promise of an Arnside sunset.

I have been trying to get back into the habit of using the camera on a daily basis, though clearly I am still not back in the swing of the daily blip. I have discovered that my much-used telephoto zoom has a metering problem, caused I think by being dropped once too often, I am not sure what can be done about fixing it.
