Took my dad for his flu jab today. Negotiated the new process at the doctors surgery - stood outside to speak to the receptionist and sent my dad in on his own.
Thought whilst there I’d check about getting a repeat prescription for dad. Nope, that is not the process - it needs to be emailed in, and will take 5 days. Right (sigh).
This is the doctors practice that I went to from the age of 2. One of the current partners is the granddaughter of the original partner. Sadly, they will be closing next year - they have not been able to recruit a 3rd doctor and cannot keep the business going. It just doesn’t seem right.
