Walking "The Ditch"

"The Ditch" is the irrigation channel that runs throughout our Valley. It turned our valley into the rich agricultural it is today. Originally, the canal (ditch) was a wooden chute, but today is is paved. Alongside the ditch is the maintenance road and it provides for great walking and leash-free dog area.  Right now, the irrigation ditch has is almost dry as the water has been turned off for the season. The water comes from the Wenatchee River which flows into The Columbia.

The Ditch by my house rises up and provides for some great views of the Columbia River and foot hills.
