Stairway to Heaven

Cheryl and I had the afternoon to our selves today. Gavin was at the football with his Grandad and Euan was at his friends so we went for a wee run in the car. We ended up at Peebles, then we drove the back road through the countryside on the way back. we even stopped to eat our pies that we had got out of Forsyths the Butchers in Peebles.

Took lots of pictures today, some of Neidpath Castle, trees, hills, the river esk with trees in front and hills behind but believe it or not when I got home and looked back at all my pictures on the lap top, I had to go for this one. It's the little stairway from the road down to the castle and I just loved this shot of it in black and white. My little stairway to heaven on our nice little day out.
