Assorted Architecture
To Wolverhampton today - we love it there. So much I could choose from but I settled on this one. Such a variety of architectural styles and periods in one eyeful. I always marvel at the tall thin building that looks as though it has been chopped in half. The white building with the clock is a favourite as it is white faience like that made by Gibbs and Canning. Even the modern one that is part of the Mander Centre does not look too bad. We'd just had lunch in a cafe behind us.
We started our visit with a walk round West Park. We went into the greenhouse, but it was so humid I didn't dare get out my cool camera. My glasses steamed up instantly. The geese on the lake were having a great splashing wash.
I saw a super Edward VII postbox. We finished by removing the Christmas flowers and wreath from the cemetery. It's a husge one at Bushbury with wonderful views from the hilside. See a couple of pics here.
