Swan in a field

Lancashire, where my daughter is in her second year of uni (Lancaster), is now heading into the highest tier of lockdown. It's hard to grasp that coming home or getting a visit from us (something we took for granted last year) is now completely prohibited! Illegal even! I understand why, of course, but what has life become?

Worked in the morning and evening - so I was able to get to a Pilates class and have a lovely long dog walk around the duck pond in the afternoon. In the nearby field, was this swan... which got me wondering why a swan would be here. The internet had the answer: https://www.swanlife.com/swans-life-in-field-groups
