In our defence, we did have a bottle of fizz to go with them.

Managed to speak a decision maker at Halifax about the flood claim. We still have to live with the de-humidifiers for another 10 days, though. And then the kitchen units can be ripped out so the drying of the walls behind can carry on.

We’re in this for the long haul.
