A Weekend Break

The day dawned.  I packed my suitcase.  I fed Colin the tortoise, even though we haven't seen his head for several weeks.  CMC drove the car round to the front and even opened the door for me before I climbed in.  She whisked us round to the port.  So this was it.  A teasing shaft of light played on Rysa.  Arthur checked our booking and we were guided on, past Angus.

"What better place to escape the pressures of the Orkney Mainland than a weekend on Hoy?" - Judith Chalmers c. 1978.

We rarely take the car to Hoy.  In fact it's the first time for about five years. It was full of coal and logs.  And food; Craigellachie and Wolfburn.

After disembarking at the bolt hole I went to meet three men at the Kirk to try and resolve the problematic water connection.  I'd rather be emptying Lake Superior with a teaspoon.

We are also struggling with 23 down.
