Buzzards Like Sweet Chestnuts Apparently
A neighbour rang me this morning to say the local chamois were on a field just below the house (extra) but, while I was photographing them, this buzzard flew past and settled in one of the chestnut trees for his breakfast.
We had guests for lunch then did a chestnut walk ourselves. This year’s crop is impressive, so many of them. Within 20 minutes two of us had collected about 3kg. Tomorrow morning there will be many people searching the woodland around here for their free food!
