Oak galls
That wondrous place, the Internet has provided me with a raft of information on these oak galls.
The round, gold coloured galls are from the superbly named Silk Button Gall Wasp (Neuroterus numismalis). A wasp should emerge in February to April next year.
The flatter oak galls are from the equally wonderfully named Common Spangle Gall, caused by the cynipid wasp Neuroterus quercusbaccarum
