The Big Clean

We had some friends over last night for what turned out to be quite a significant dinner party (although I really should have learned that there is no such thing as a quiet dinner party with those guys!).

The boyfriend excelled himself with three courses of Italian goodies, including pasta alla Norma, which is always excellent, and my first veal. The chocolate and salted caramel tart I made turned out pretty good and seemed to go down well.

Games and litres of alcohol later and we cracked out the maths and analytical chemistry tutoring, for a reason I'm sure seemed logical at the time...

Today was mainly taken up with cleaning up the almighty mess that remained, which involved hoovering, mopping, washing, de-staining, changing sheets, bleaching and re-setting the dinner table for the family dinner party tonight.
