AN UNEXPECTED OUTING - PINKTOBER 16

After we had both had a shower this morning, we decided that today would be a “rest” day after all our work during the last week.  Then we had to decide what we would do - and if you know Mr. HCB, you will know it’s very difficult to get him to make a decision!  

We finally decided to go to Bampton Garden Centre to have a look around, which we did - and it was a joy to be meandering along the country lanes and enjoying the autumn colours all around us.  We had a good wander round the plants and then went into the café, and as it was 11.45 by then, decided it would be a good idea to have some lunch, which pleased me, because I knew it would save me cooking this evening and very nice it was too. 

Lunch over, we set off back home via Lechlade, so as we aren’t meeting our neighbours at 4 o’clock today, decided to call into Lechlade Garden Centre and managed to bag some bargains.  There were several plants in the 50% off bin and others that were only £5, so we ended up buying £95 worth of plants for half that amount - all they need is a little bit of TLC and we can give them that quite easily.  

There wasn’t much in the way of pink at either garden centre, and I certainly didn’t want to upset anyone by taking photographs of Christmas decorations - not that there were many pink ones either - so as I had washed our towelling robes before we went out, decided that they would make a good Blip.  Of course, my robe is bright pink in case you don’t know me that well and think it belongs to Mr. HCB and his is the stripey blue one behind, but they are both hung out to dry with pink clothes pegs.
