King's Candle

Public Holiday in Bavaria with all shops shut. It is the Feast of the Assumption of Mary and the day one is supposed to check your mullein and predict the coming winter based on the flowering. As there are no flowers I presume we won't be getting any snow this year.
(Note to self: Make sure snowblower petrol tank is full)

Apparently dipped in liquid resin, they make great torches.
