Contrasting

The announcement today that all of Essex (except Southend and Thurrock) would move to a higher level of alert makes no sense to me at all. Last week a national newspaper reported that Maldon was the 2nd safest place in England to be at the moment.

I am thankful for so many things but I had recently enjoyed an occasional meeting with friends for lunch or coffee so this seemingly backward step is sad personally and for my friends that work in leisure and hospitality, yet another blow.
