A frustrating day when a number of things didn't happen as they were supposed to but that aside, three things did happen that made me smile...

1.  Approval of the first part of a painting commission, so I shall now continue with the rest of the task.  Looking forward to it :-)
2.  Excellent deluxe mac n cheese for dinner.  Been looking forward to it all week and it didn't disappoint.
3.  These pics Nikki sent of Esme modelling her first pair of DMs.

I think it's clear to see how chuffed she is with them, especially as they were bought for her by her cool auntie Jen who she absolutely adores.  

This girl is a walker, marches everywhere with purpose and wants to be outdoors whenever she can, especially walking her gran's dogs, so they will get worn to death.  Just as well for the short time they'll fit her!  

I think the frilly socks are the perfect addition, although I'm not sure that's how auntie Jen wears hers :-)))
