Autumn colours on a cold day

We went on a longer walk to take in the views from across the other side of the valley. It was incredibly cold out there today and from where I took the photo there were plenty of ice formations in the small stream below. M decided he'd had enough as we crossed the river at Madulain to return home and sent me off to get the car. Then he changed his mind and I found him walking back along the road.
