Number One With A Ballot

My Dear Princess and Dear Fellows,

You know, I feel for our American chums. What with all their talk of voter suppression and queues that extend for hours, just to try and get rid of the Orange Rotter.

Here, it has been made so easy. The voting booths have already been open for a week or so. There's a school round the corner from us, or you can just go and vote in the shopping mall. 

THAT'S RIGHT. 

YOU CAN VOTE AND BUY FISH FINGERS AT VIRTUALLY THE SAME TIME!

So today I voted. Member vote Labour, party vote Green. And it seems like that's the right strategy. The latest polls indicate that Jacinda will win, but that she'll need Green to stay in her coalition. 

There are also two referenda to vote on this year. One on whether to legalise cannibis and the other on euthanasia. The polls indicate that it's likely a "no" on the former, and a "yes" on the latter. It's because stoners can't be arsed getting out to the polls I reckon. 

So I voted "yes" and "yes" naturally. 

It's not like I'm into the Wicked Weed myself, but I voted yes and thought of Mom and Pop. 

I expect they'll come to live with us if it passes.
