Lockdown Walk

It was a lovely sunny morning so headed out for a walk. We went on the route we walked daily during lockdown.

We have seen it change over the months. Fields sown, grown, harvested and now with another crop planted.

Another noticeable feature was the huge number of acorns carpeting the ground in places. Has it been an exceptional year for acorns? What percentage of them will grow?

As we walked alongside the Lumb Brook we wondered how many different words there are for a stream? We came up with brook, beck, burn and rivulet. Please add any you can think of in the comments.

It was leaf sweeping duties when I arrived back home. There are still many left on the trees.
