Red Squirrel

Today's the day …………………. to go nuts

A walk up to the Red Squirrel Hide in Barrhill Wood today.  I knew that the hide itself would not be open because of Covid19 - but I was hoping that I would catch a glimpse of a red because food was still being put out for them.

Well I needn't have worried - there were squirrels everywhere!  And they weren't the least bothered about me.  In fact, I would swear that they were positively showing off their antics in front of me.  They ran here, there and everywhere, did proper squirrel poses sitting on their back legs holding food and generally went nuts with the nuts.

It was a real treat - for them and me …………………..
