Coffee, cake and castles
Today we went on a mini food tour of Mull! First stop was the Old Post Office and Lochbuie Larder at Lochbuie for coffee and cake. We took a wander along to Moy Castle while we were there (main blip), which must be one of my favourite tower houses. I waved to the nearby stone circle while we were there, but we didn't have time to visit this time.
We got lunch at the tearoom at Duart Castle. We sat and ate our soup and sandwiches in the car and then went for a short wander around the outside of the castle (see extra - we didn't go in today). It was very windy but the views were spectacular.
Then it was onto Tobermory for a cup of tea and cake from Tobermory Chocolate. We wandered around Tobermory (see extra) and then went to the Park Lodge Hotel for a lovely meal in their new outdoor heated and lit beer garden. All in all a very lovely day, with plenty of food eaten.
