Autumn Colours over Letcombe Cress-Fields
Another clear but dramatic looking day weather-wise.
We took an afternoon walk from Letcombe Regis to Letcombe Basset, passed the abandoned watercress fields with Child No. 2 (the Key Worker). We stayed mainly on the roads as the footpaths were still saturated; however the road had never been as busy (even pre-lockdown!) which made for a disrupted stroll.
The afternoon sunlight really lifted the colours and the contrasts in the landscape. On the bridge we were passed by an old Morris 1000 with a large Golden Retriever in the passenger seat, wearing a seatbelt, looking like the lord of the manor.
