Figs or figlets?

These little figs will not grow now as it’s getting colder with little sunshine. I usually leave them but will experiment this year with making some jam.
The stalk oozes white latex sap, rinse boil and repeat.
I will make a syrup with cloves and lemon peel and see how/ if it works.
