Pounds, shillings and pence

Just noticed the other day I was heading to my 200th blip! I can't believe I've managed to get this far - a lot of the ongoing motivation is down to the nice comments and support of blippers far and wide - so thank you.

Today is the anniversary of decimalisation day - 15/02/71.

I remember my granny worked in a Spar shop in the late 1960s/70s. I was only seven and I remember my dad and myself driving her to a local hotel once a week in the evening for six weeks before the actual day, to learn the new coinage. Every time I pass this hotel I remember this :) Happy days.
