I was so excited to see this...

I remember my first day as a student teacher. Walking into a classroom after three weeks in lectures.

My subject tutor had terrified the living day lights out of us. The first lesson she gave us was ‘identifying the teachers pet’

Second was ‘ensuring a safe exit from the classroom in an emergency’. That would be a teacher emergency not a classroom emergency. Save yourself, escape!

I emptied from both ends the morning of my first class. And then I walked in.

Guess what? They were children. They weren’t animals or wild people. They were children and in The main they were not at all bad.
